Who am I?

by Chris Brewer

Inspired by Exodus 3&4

"Moses thought the Lord was going to rely on Moses' strength to deliver the Israelites, God sets him straight with the greatest promise of all time- 'It's not who you are Moses, but it is who I am that will deliver my people out of their captivity!'"

(Chris Brewer)

How’s it look from up above, when you see me through your eyes of love?
Keeping no account of the wrong I do, seeing only in me a reflection of You

Only perfect love could be so blind, to overlook seventy times seven times that I refused to do Your will. I hear Your voice, You call me still, You call me still

Chorus:
Who am I, and who is I Am?
I am His, and He is I Am.

You created the world and you parted the sea
Gave Egypt the plagues, Set the captives free
You sent food from the sky and water from a rock
You led your angel to Balaam, You made his donkey talk
You led your people to the Promised Land
You crumbled the mighty walls of Jericho with the touch of your hand
You were there in the furnace, Closed the mouth of the lions
You were there with the woman when she was on trial.
You gave eyes to the blind and life to the dead
You healed centurion’s servant with a word that you said

You took all of the sins of a world that was lost.
You were broken and beaten, You were nailed to a cross
You grabbed the keys of the kingdom and you rose from the grave
You did all this for me, so what more can I say
